A Ferrari 458 Italia was at the track for a lapping session and I ruined my chance of lapping with it by using...well...an interesting line.
Nice car though.

I should buy an M3...
Weird how that urge came out of nowhere.

They don't teach point bys there?

That was for the M3 vert you passed. I saw the point for the 458.

You can't see it on the video I posted, but I checked and I see it in 1080. He's got a black glove on and his hand is in front of his mirror when he does it.
There's a lot of debate here about point-bys, although ICAR requires it.
For our advanced lapping groups we don't do point-bys. It's the passing car's responsibility and the one being passed is expected to simply keep his line. It actually works extremely well and keeps a great flow between cars of different speeds. I should also mention that these guys are experienced enough to either know the passing car and his lines, or to watch him for a moment before passing for the first time.

I have loged my appeal. ;)
